I recently picked up a book on archetypes. I flipped through the pages and after a great debate I diagnosed myself: I am a rebel. I am not exactly bad ass but I am quite unconventional (as the profile suggests): I believe in advocating for others; I am opposed to oppression; I’ve always had my own sense of style; quite frankly, I enjoy being a little mischievous now and again. I am real rebel.

Just for shits and giggles, I took the accompanying online test. A rebel, I am not! My results were trifold: creative, caring, thinker. I immediately wonder, is there a differential diagnosis process. I wonder if these personality quizzes are crocks. I guess that would be a typical thinker response.

Then I think back to my days as an itty-bitty. I was always creating and experimenting. I also found my own ways to take care of my family and friends. Years later I have published creative works and I have gone into debt to satiate my hunger for learning. More importantly, I still look after my friends and family.

What do you think of archetypes tests? Crock or not. Take the test for free at
