So I was I found an article that talks about the invention of shocking undergarments as protection against rape in India. I am glad that students are coming up with an invention to prevent rape. I hope that a woman feels empowered by people wanting to help.
Something still bugs me about this article. It implies that women must protect themselves rather than the rapists should change their behaviors. I believe the problem lies with those who hurt others.
What if a female can’t afford these special undergarments? Should she lock herself in her house for fear of being attacked by some stranger while others look on?
Females, everywhere, should be able to walk the streets -unarmed- without fear.
That is my 2 cents 4 u!
